The Secret to Blog Post Title Trigger Words

Trigger words are words used in a marketing sense to gain an audience. I used a trigger word within the title of this blog post. Can you guess what it was? It was Secret! The title of this blog post indicates that you can learn a secret about something. Now this post may not be a complete secret but I wanted to use a good trigger word in the title to associate it with the content of this post. However, for those of you who don’t know about trigger words, I hope you enjoy this secret to them!

Trigger Words Work!

Trigger words will work most of the time as long as they are real. Don’t use a trigger word to promise your readers something but not deliver it once they read the blog post. That is unethical and it could very well harm the rating, ranking and reputation of your blog. If you put “secrets” into your blog post to attempt to catch the attention of a visitor, you need to make sure you are putting something worthy enough in the blog post to keep the reader on the post. If you lie, you will be seen as a liar and that isn’t a good thing!

Examples of Trigger Words!

There are many different types of trigger words out there. It really depends on what you are writing about when it comes to using trigger words and choosing which ones to best fit your blog post. If you are a dieting blogger, you would want to use trigger words like “Shed” or “Lose” when making a post about a way to help lose weight. If you are writing a guide or something instructional to your readers, then you might want to use “Secrets” or “The 2013 Guide to” or whatever you choose to use. You just want to sit down and think about the words that catch your eye when it comes to a specific type of topic.

How to Use Trigger Words!

People often skim when reading stuff on the internet. They usually don’t read everything but skim through and find what they hope to find. So when using a trigger word in your blog post title, the idea is to catch the attention of your readers very quickly. To do this, you need to add the trigger words to the beginning of the title as much as you can. The quicker you can catch the attention of your blog readers, the easier it will be to keep them on the blog post.
